Первые, literally "The First Ones" in Russian, is a story of one of Vitus Bering's (a Dane in Russian Emperial service) expeditions to discover the northern most point of Eurasia https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7XVne9T60aQ . Peter the Great had 2 great desires, to have a great Navy and to expand Russian Empire. Bering, like Bering Sea between Russia and Alaska, helped implement those desires.
