British 4.7in Mk5 and Japanese 12cm

Moving a few cases about and so thought to post a couple of pictures of a British marked 4.7in MkV case alongside one made by Elswick for Japan. The export case is dated 2/10, which I take to be February 1910. They are both 162mm long, rim of 153mm and a mouth of 122mm. My understanding is this gun started life as an export weapon and was supplied to Japan. During WW1 the Royal Navy purchased up to 620 guns from Japan to arm merchant ships.

Having done some further research I think the gun in Japanese service was known as the 12cm 45cal Type 41. Very happy to be educated!
