These compasses vary so much. About 5 years ago a dealer turned up at Chatham from Finland and he had a box full of them. I think I bought 10 at £7 each.
 
Yes John very popular compass with good pedigree, any members have a s.o.e reference to dropping compasses apart from the millions claiming to be s.o.e on ebay.
It really makes a difference when you know where thy have been since WW2
