Raymond Briggs, the creator of a masterpiece called The Snowman (1982) https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0084701/, created a video tribute to his parents, Ethel & Ernest Briggs https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1725969/?ref_=nv_sr_1. This British-Welch-Luxemburgian (?) co-production starts in 1928 and ends in 1971, taking the viewer from the magical post WWI period through WWII into present era. WWII is an event of major coverage in the movie. I learnt a couple of things from this movie too, like water rationing during BOB (Battle of Britain). For the Beatles fans, the film contains a song by Paul McCartney you probably have never heard before https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=92-ANmWETUc.
Ernest Briggs worked as a milk man for a company called Royal Arsenal Cooperative Milk Services. Why Arsenal? He home delivered bottles of milk.
