Swiss Tavaro time fuze for British service? Not 209/210series

please see the attached photos of an unmarked fuze that uses the British 2 inch GS thread gauge. This fuze is similar to the No.209 in height and the point of the first body join (see the fuze against a 209). The font size and style is the same as on a No.210. I suspect that the clock mechanism is a Tavaro type. The only stamping is '36' on the side and base of the fuze and may be an item number. Can anyone identify this?

I don't think it's a Tavaro fuze because these can always be turned several times to set the time. This one I could imagine is also Swiss, but made by Dixi S.A (driven by centrifugal force with some steel balls). Maybe it's from a time when the UK bought a few mechanical time fuzes from different companies to compare them before placing a large order to one of the companies (Tavaro in this case).

hi Alpini, OK that does make sense. It would certainly appear to be a 'pre-production' item and what you suggest could well be the answer. It came with the No.210 so could well be from someone 'in at the beginning'.
