French antitank 37mm Model 1938 shells

I am looking for information on these French projectiles of 37 model 1938.

The #1, dated 1940, is the 1938 common model.

The #2 seems dated 1948. Does anyone have any details on the possible post-1945 manufacture? Was the case 148mm? Or other ? Has anyone ever met 37x148r French-made post-1945 cases ?

The #3 is identical to No. 2, but has a portion of the coppered warhead. The copper layer is fine as shown by a claw on it. What could be the use of this copper plating? Repairing a machining defect ?

I also add a projectile with tracer and Waffenamt, of German manufacture (dated 1942 ?). To which manufacturer does the OMI mark correspond ? Has anyone ever met 37x148r cases of German manufacture?

Thanks for your help.

Hello Didier,

My projectile has the exact same 1948 head stamp as your number two example. I never noticed that before. It is my understanding Israel used H39 tanks in their war of independence in 1948, so perhaps they were made for that country.

Hi Steve,
Yes, it is possible, thank you. I found these two projectiles recently, in France, but from different sources.
