I thought these pictures would interest the collectors of modern rounds.
There seem to be endless variations of Rarden so I've just included a few in this photo.
I've kept them in the same order out of the cases to show the variations.
The Chinese one (second from right) is interesting with a 5 bladed fin.
Dave.

Great photo. Thank you.
Can you add the designations? There are some experimental rounds there, I guess?

2 Don’t know
3 30 x 173 NAMMO for Bushmaster 11/MK44, Mauser Mk 30 (info taken from Tony Williams web site)
4 Rarden experimental 30 x 172. 3 piece metal sabot
5 Rarden experimental 30 x 172. 3 piece plastic sabot sabot
6 Rarden experimental 30 x 172. 2 piece metal sabot. Note cap variation.
7 Rarden experimental 30 x 172. 2 piece metal sabot. Note cap variation
8 Probably US experimental. These come up for auction on gunbroker occasionally. I don’t know if the case is correct to the projectile or if its some sort of CTA projectile

Dave,

Regarding your Nr 5 (Rarden Experimental with 3 piece plastic sabot).

A few years ago, i found a set of 3 diffrent variations on the Dutch NVBMB fair.
Not my caliber/collection, but i did took a picture of the sellers corresponding explanation

Dave,

Thanks for the additonal info.
Looking at the shape and the numbers on it, Nr2 seems to be produced by Oerlikon.

Thanks, I've attached a better picture of the Nr 2.
Its similar to Nr 1 but with cut outs to the petals.
Dave.

Almost definitely Oerlikon.
The cut outs are very characteristic, as is the "oe".
Two 25mm and a 35mm with the same characteristics.
