Hi all,
Hoping someone can ID this little gem that recently turned up. Chap says his mate got it from his grandfather (who served in the Brit. navy)in a box of WWI items. It is made of steel, HS reads: 4.18 HRS RNTF it has a stamp on the side just above the extractor groove & the letters HRS on the opposite side. The primer goes almost the entire internal length of the case & seems to have remnants of tar around the inside of the cart. It is parallel sided.
Any ideas please?
Regards Ozzi.
