What is this casing ?

Made in Canada during ww2 and in the family since. Looks completed except
for being head stamped. American style primer hole. Length is 590mm = 23 3/4",
rim diameter is 131mm = 6 1/16". The neck is a bit out of round, but calibre appears to be 3 1/2".
It was never used and was kept as a souvenir with a lift off ashtray on top.

I never see projectiles for those up here as I doubt we ever used them.
Or did we ? There are about 20 of the guns on display around the country.

The 90 mm M19 measures 90x600DR131 so it seems to be cut down or unfinished. As for Canadian made 90 mm M19, in 15 years of collecting I only found one case over here in The Netherlands. I consider them rare.
