Camel or Mule Pack

Received this item. Made by Fraser's Cape Town. They still exist and make luggage. (I believe they want to make an offer on the item). I believe it was used in North Africa to transport ammunition, and other items by the South African Army.

Any further information will be welcome.

MANUFACTURED BY FRASER & SONS. CAPE TOWN

Interesting item! I have seen a lot of US WW II pack mule items, they are very heavy and ammo chests are enclosed boxes. My guess is that it is for camels. I would think if it were designed for ammo, the sides would not be canvas. Ammo comes in heavy boxes, the canvas just wouldn't hold up. If it were mine, I'd start looking at photo's to see if I could match it up.
