A couple of grenade finds at the Great Lakes Cartridge Show.

I'd love to find an ID/country of origin for the training stick grenade on the right, the large blue throwing dummy, and the unusual egg. I also found a mortar that confuses me. M49 pattern, but too long for US/US clones, to include the Chinese. (no ignition cart)

-the base of the german egg grenade seems to be homemade
That was my thought, but it appears to be period, and also why? You'd have to cut the grenade to do it, and they have never been hard to find - ?
