I think its been made out of assorted bits, the picket and lever assembly could have come from a flare pot kit, i have never seen a grenade that fits into a picket, smoke or flare, a No80 grenade would work if it had some way of fixing it to the picket as clearly the fuse is from a range of British grenades,,,,,, Dave

I should have said that this piece of 'upcycling' was known in PW's commercial brochure as a "Standard Trip Flare Kit, item No 55525". Burn time was 45s; output about 60,000 candela. I do not believe it entered British Service.
