Übungs-Stielhandgranate 24

Currently working on restoring an Übungs-Stielhandgranate 24 using a semi relic head, a repro M24 handle and some other original semi relic parts I had. (Screws are on order) Could anyone recommend a good modern equivalent of the original red colour?

And the answer is… I went with Humbrol 153 Insignia Red. There are some traces of original paint in the interior and it seems to be quite close.

Thanks. It’s still a work in progress as it has no internals and the threaded ring and end cap are just there for looks at present. They are fused together by corrosion and just hold onto the end of the handle with light friction.

Very pleased with the closeness of the paint colour though. To my eyes it looks more like a dark pink than a ‘pure’ red.
