Quick question. Does anyone know the meaning of the letters ЗИД (= ZID) that you often see on Russian fuzes?

im not 100% sure this is the answer to your question, but there is a soviet munitions manufacturer called ЗИД (ZID) http://www.zid.ru/en/ could be the manufacturer mark for this company,,,

letter Z in most cases on soviet fuzes stands for Zavod which means institute...so ZID is acronym for manufacturer. cant say full name...
