17 PDR Case

HI, Just bought this 17PDR ~ 1945 case for £25 just wondering what the markings meant and is there any way of knowing what fired the case ? 17 PDR ANTI-TANK GUN ? ~ FIREFLY ? or are they all the same ?
Before and after pictures as i got the Brasso out , mmmmm shiny.... !

Very nice. Made in Canada. I have acquired two 17 pdr cases in the US recently, and they go for $200 over here.

Honest answer is I don't know. In the Great War some categories of cracked necks were repaired, but come WWII with much increased performance, such repairs might have been considered not worth the risk.
