20mm Cannon Round I.D Wanted

I am looking for info on this 20mm cannon round. Some of the markings i can make out on the projectile are LOT 703 MK 3 24

What country?
What type of round is it?

Thanks for the ID i also have one of these,as the paint on mine was very poor i have stripped it off to make the markings more clear The Fuze is marked MK 26-1 R R.....do you know who or what R R stands for ?

AA round? As far as I can make out from the photo, the case is a Hispano, not Oerlikon. While some Hispano cannon may have been used in the AA role, it was primarily used as an aircraft gun. More recently, a version of the Hispano was used a general-purpose deck gun by the USCG.
 
It may be MK 26, the pic I with the fuze info is kind of hard to read, but it does say AA and is a US round, I'll check to see if I ahve anything on the RR, but my guess is manufacture, this is a WW II round
 
U.S. AA round HE, with MK 28 PD fuze

Why HE ? Wasn't a green colored Mk3 indicating an inert filled projectile ?

HE Mark 3 Tetryl - White
HE Mark 3 Pentolite - Yellow
HE-I Mark 3 Tetryl and Incendiary Mix - Red
HE-I Mark 3 Pentolite and Incendiary Mix - Light Pink
HE-T Marks 4 and 7 Tetryl and Tracer - Light Gray
HE-T Marks 4 and 7 Pentolite and Tracer - Blue
AP-T Mark 9 Tracer - Black
BL&P Mark 3 Inert Loaded - Dark Green
BL&T Mark 7 Inert Load and Tracer - Dark Green with Yellow Stripe
Drill Empty - Seal Brown

Thank you Orpheus72 for posting that picture of the Mk XXVI fuze, it has cleared up something that has puzzled me for years, in the attached picture is a brass Mk XXVI fuze body marked R R as the one in the above thread, next to it is a item that came with a 20mm Oerlikon projectile that i had not seen any reference to until now.
