20mm HE-I Cannon Round Info Wanted

I am looking for info on this 20mm cannon round. Projectile stamped 2.0 G HEI M97A1 KOP -74-24, Drive band stamped GMI - 1 - 30 - 53 20mm M97, Headstamp 20MM M21A1 STON 53

Am i correct in thinking it is an american round? Is the case correct for the projectile?

It sure is an American 20x110 Hispano M97A1 HEI round.
I did have one like that, but the fuze on your projectile looks strange....
The HS was exactly the same as yours.

KOP is "Kingsbury Ordnance Plant, Kingsbury, USA"

Thanks for the info, thats great. Not sure about the fuze, it is as it came when i bought it a few years back.

Yes it is a US, made at Kingbury Ord Plant, which was in Indiana, basic M 97 HEI
