25 X 152RG Philco Ford CTA round

I got this one today as a swap.
At first I thought it was a 25mm Brunswick but its not.
It is a 25 X 152 Philco Ford CTA (Case Telescoped Ammunition) round that was developed in the early 1980's.
Its beautifully made and all the propellant is made from wood that has been carefully crafted to look just like the real thing.
Case length 152mm
Base diameter 46mm
Projectile length 100mm
If anyone has any information about these I'd be interested in hearing from them in particular different projectile types, the gun, did it actually work etc.
Thanks.
Dave.

Beautiful round Dave, Who-ever did the section job is a real craftsman. I don't know what you had to trade to get it, but think it well worth it no matter what. I didn't even know that Philco Ford did ammo....Dano

Thanks Dano.
Yes I'm aware of 20mm, 25mm, 30mm and 45mm rounds by them - I'm sure there's more, those are a few I can remember.
Dave.
