2pr A/T drill rounds

I picked up a 2pr drill round today, one with a type of construction I haven't seen before. It is the one on the left in the first picture and on the right in the picture showing the base of each. It is for the mark IX and X A guns, the difference being that the base is made of steel and brass, rather than just brass.

Does anyone have one of these in their collection? Are they common? Are there any other variations out there?

Cheers

D

Hi BD,
Nice collection of drill rounds, in answer to your question I had one of those bi metal rounds as well. I will try and dig out a picture of it as I belive they are fairly unusual.
Best regards Weasel.
