37 mm (WW1) ID please

Hi gentlemen,

I just got this one. Am I right when I say it is a french AP 37 mm in a german navy case?

37 mm Fr ID

Hi Der Feldgrau,
your identification is correct. When I look on your photo, for me is the shell a training shell. In addition, you shall find two views of my documentation, the second pic seems more to be your shell.

Heu, sorry for quality of scanning !!! It's a job scanner !!!

Training Shell ?

There is a post ww1 version of the 1916 Solid AP (Mle 31 I think) that is made for a tracer used in training (French Marine). Any of these ww1 projectiles are likely used in training and with the 37x202 Tube Cannon in Navel guns.

You can put your projectile in any of these cases, 37x95 WW1(1916-17-18) French, 37x136, 1917 BSC made lot series 700s, 37x202r Mle 1902 these are made up to ww2. It looks like it has been painted black, that is not likely original, these were left plain.
