37mm baton rounds

Until I joined here, I had never given baton rounds a second thought. But a sub collection of these little buggers would look nice in any collection. They are generally cheap to buy and they just look good...Dano

Hello Dano,
Noticed the Baton Round thread. I've been doing the same thing. will attach a couple of pics. Excellent thing to start sectioning on as the price is right.
Cheers,
navyman,

sections

Hi navyman, nice rounds and nice sectioning. I do like to see the sectioned pieces in here, but not something i'm gonna do. There is some quite impressive sections and cutaways but i'm going to leave it to others. Thanks for showing...Dano

Hello Dano,
Go on, give sectioning a try. It only requires a vice, a small hacksaw, some needle files or fine grade emery cloth, (preferably both), and a bit of patience. Start on soft metal ones, and then get the minicutting wheels going for the harder examples.
I find it quite relaxing, and a useful way of using up damaged pieces which are not needed for display.

Oh, I do appreciate seeing a nice sectioned round but will never do it myself, just a personal thing. Kind of like hunting, I love to eat what my brother kills, but won't kill anything myself!...Dano

Love the sectioned round. Never seen a sectioned baton round before. Good job.
I have a few myself (not sectioned), cheap and I agree, they look good, usually have very clear markings and er......cheap. I love cheap.

I'd better not say what we replaced the plastic or rubber bullets with but they worked a treat. :tinysmile_shy_t:
