37mm Littlejohn

What is that silver paste?

The silver paste is as on the attached photos.
You can get it in Halfords for about 6 quid.......and you get a lot in a can.
Mix in 2 parts with the supplied hardner.
Dries in about 20 minutes then you can sand it.
Its got aluminium mixed in with it so looks quite realistic.
Dave.

What calibre is the case that this projectile is fitted in, and what vehicles was it used on?

Thanks. That stuff turned out really well. Do you use it often?
Hi, no I don't use it often, the reason being is that other than a butterfly bomb restoration job, a COW gun projectile and this littlejohn (and 2 other littlejohn projectiles I have on the go) I never use filler on any of my rounds - I'm just experimenting at the moment as a way of my son getting a few rare rounds for little money (the last 37mm in good condition that I am aware of went for over 400, the relic I did up here was 20 so it'll have to do until he gets a job and can afford his own rounds).
I would however recommend the filler. Its easy to mix and apply, easy to sand and very strong.
Dave.
