40mm sectioned barrel and shell ID

I have had this piece for some time and thought it was a 2pr barrel. Have to say I have been a bit lazy and never really looked at it in detail until recently. It is definitely 40mm but the sectioned shell itself is longer than any 2pr or Bofors I have ever seen (and it's not boat tailed). I have included a 2pr WW1 HE for scale. I don't have any post war L/70 projectiles to compare but thought they would be boat tailed anyway. Can anyone identify what this is?

Can you show us the cutaway projectile from the other side? Maybe a 40mm HV ?

Unfortunately the sectioned projectile is pinned to the barrel so cannot be removed. But it isn't the standard 2pr HV which body is 126mm long whereas the sectioned piece is 150mm. It certainly does look similar though.
