No idea what it is for sure, but kinda looks like a German long 7,7 cm, and it sure looks like it still is live!!!!!

HAVE IT GOTTEN RID OFF A.S.A.P.!!!!!!!!!!!

Was it found in your area?

I have a photo of a similar item, but it's 88mm in diameter and 314mm long. The driving band is different as is the ogive, but it's of a similar design.

Hi

Peteblight has the EagleEye .

Effectively, seems to be a flare / Illuminating German WW1 77mm shell
containing a beautiful parachute + magnesium pot.

+ the ejecting black powder charge .
