88mm flak in post war service

Hi folks.
I recently obtained one of the 88x571R flak36 cartridges which are reputed to be from Scandanavian, (Finnish?, Norwegian?) postwar stocks. It appears to be an original german one dated 1944 which has been reworked and painted grey. Can anyone give any information on their history or make sense of the stencilling. I have printed it below because it was difficult to photograph.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Hi Fred,
The stencilled markings you describe are Finnish post war re-load markings. Finland used 8,8cm Flaks in AA-use still at the end of 1970's and in coastal artillery use until end of 1990's.
There was enough ammo left from war and they were periodically overhauled.
In 1990's the Army sold thousands of empty cases and shells that were prepared for re-loading but never needed.

Ben is selling some lovely examples of these at this weekends W&P show, I picked up a couple and will post pics asap
