A good friend of mine owns a Clay Pigeon Shooting Centre. He has the following question regarding the attached photo.:
"The photo shows a wartime cartridge box for .300 ball made by Remington and marked for synchronized RAF guns only. The question is in what role would the RAF use .30-06 (30cal) synchronized Guns? I was always of the belief they used .303 British........"
Is anybody able to provide an answer I can pass to my friend? Any help will be much appreciated.
