Ammo scams

don't know if ammo sales here are up or not but as a lot is imported then USA situation will affect us in the UK to some extent. No problem experienced with shotgun shells and have plenty of reloading components and nowhere to use them so can't say on those items.
Ammo prices in Oz have hike up by 20-30% at least over the past year or two, especially reloading components.....some even ridiculously high - for example a box of 1000 primers were selling for $47 several years ago, now its $47 per 100 !!!
Most gun stores use to stock Winchester .223 ammo, however that started drying up years ago with the Gulf wars - now ADI (Australian Defense Industries) produce it and ready available.
Interesting Gun Ownership and sales have increased even higher since the start of covid-19 last year - the PTAs (Permit To Acquire) went from 400 per week to 2000
........ what else does one do doing a "lockdown" - head to bush, "self-isolate" and hunt! :xd:
