Howdy All,

Could someone give me an ID on these containers pleaseeg: what did they hold & what era?

Second one is made of 1/4" thick laquered cardboard with galv. steel ends & military style straps. 28" lg x 11" dia. No markings what so ever on it!!

Regarding the last 2 pics, I would expect to see an SV number and a manufacturers initials and date somewhere on it.

Yeah I was expecting some marks or stamps also, but NO not a thing??

Maybe it is not even military??

Looks familiar, but can't place it yet.

Is it about the right size to fit a 250lb tail fin or larger ?

Also, is it made of some type of compressed cardboard ?
