Ammunition for Russian T-12/MT-12 100mm Antitank Gun

A few drill rounds were just imported into the USA. I believe mine is Hungarian. It seems the case was originally made for a UOF-3 HE frag round. The projectile is wood with an aluminum nose. There is a threaded rod that goes through the wood into the nose. Does anyone else have any other images of this ammo to share? This is the tallest fixed round of ammunition that I have. According to Google, "Gyakorlo" is Hungarian for "training".

Photos of a BM2 are in this thread: http://www.bocn.co.uk/vbforum/threads/98860-БM-APFSDS-darts-and-projectiles?highlight=darts

Here are the ammo specifications that I have been able to find.

The training round was made of a fired soviet case at the ammunition maintenance facility located in the Pusztavacs ordnance depot. I guess it got the czech marking after Hungary withdrew the MT-12 in the '90s and sold the surplus guns and their accessories.

Here are the most common rounds for the gun:

Seems like I may have the last one, have to ask the wife to text me a picture.

A very tolerant and supportive woman.

The case is for the MT-12, but the missile is a 9M117-01 for the same system used in the D-10T (T-55) tank gun with rifled barrel.

That missile is about as rare a piece of Russian ordnance as one can have in the US. That is amazing.

As strakv has said, the last round doesn't belong with the T-12 ammo.

I believe what he meant was that the missile can be fired out of a rifled or smooth bore gun - with different cases.

The missile has four variants with minor differencies:

9M117: 100mm for the MT-12
9M117-1 100mm for the T-55
9M117-2 115mm for the T-62
9M117-3 100mm for the BMP-3

The -1 and -3 variants have a driving band seated on a ball bearing (like on the HEAT-FS shells of these guns) to prevent the rifling of the guns from spinning the missiles.

Brought it back when I came home from Europe. Someone back here gave me the case saying it was the correct case for it, but I'm not a case guy so I'll rely on the word from forum folks that know them better.

While maybe not considered as desirable(?), here are a few other Russian items hard to find in the US. The large rocket motor and shorter item beside it were Vietnam recoveries and I have never been able to get an accurate ID.

The large one is a BMD-20 MLRS rocket designated as MD-20F (53-F-951). I'm trying to find the smaller one. Could you measure its diameter?

Correct, among a 122mm, 140mm and 240mm. There are also a Yugo and Czech 128mm plus a Chinese 107mm. M8 I think there is a spare motor for a 140 if you need one.

Sorry for the late reply, was bussy.

Yes, red triangle is a czech marking. The T-12 was never used with the Czechoslovak army so, as stated above, the markings were probably added by czech company dealing with military materiel.

BTW czech arty rockets vz. 51 are 130 mm not 128 mm (diameter is 130,2 mm).
