the gun pit that is, not Tigbrand (although if the cap fits!) This is either C or E battery, East Wier, Portland. The interesting feature is the old cannon apparently used as a pintle mounting for later ordnance. Dave

old relic!

Im 36 next Friday if that constitutes a relic.I am going to show Dave some of the stuff still left in Dorset from the war.Will post pics as we visit them.As ive said before,if any Bocn members are in the area,im happy to give them a tour of sites that interest them,ie,airfields,anti invasion defences.If other members are interested in doing the same in there areas,please post away!My interests go beyond ordnance. Industrial archaelogy,engineering,local history etc etc.A good excuse to get to know each other,preferably over a beer or four.Tony.:tinysmile_fatgrin_t
