Another SD2 Finished

This is one of my first butterflys that needed a bit of work and
a re paint.

Still retaining all original springs and a very nice charge, with a
zeit 41 airburst impact fuse with original armourers safety clip.

Totally inert and FFE

Nice! glad you managed to free the pics from the old comp, and give the old buttys an airing.

I have just about enough old bits to muster up one slightly not so minty
SD2A which i will start on soon.

Nice to see them again:tinysmile_shy_t:

Colour query.

Good work Phil.

Please would someone explain the meaning of the different coloured bodies and the different stripe colours, I'm well up on shells but not so good on these.

Ta,

Dave.

Thanks Dave

The green one i copied the markings from butterfly winter in danger uxb
wright or wrong i thought it looked menacing.

The yellow one was duplicated from its original paint scheme.

I think the banding and the red stripes was an armourers recognition
addition.

I dare say someone can elobarate further but thats the jist of it.

Best Phil

I would add that the colours came in handy for unsuspecting victims also thinking "E`re,look what ive found?" or similar?
Bright colours, curious looking object?, oooh, nasty combination.

cheers

SD2A Bits

Good i

This is the last of my spare bits that i will be working on
soon to make up another Butterfly bomb.

A good selection of fuses (all inert)
two good screw type bomb charges
A set of wings which can be done.
This will go in restoration once i have started them.

All inert and FFE
