BL 755 clarification of variations

The parachute affects drift less than you might think. The chute is small and is there for stabilization mainly (partially for arming), not for a soft landing, so it doesn't do much to slow the decent. I've seen BLU-97 drops during 15-20 mph winds - right at the limit of test parameters - and you couldn't tell the difference in impact patterns. Obviously there has to be some effect, but it's not that much.
 
I am trying to find some information relating to a Practice version of the BL755 bomblets and used by the RAF. I believe that there may have been a variant that contained a smoke pot and flash element. Can anyone shed any light on this please? Photo's and documentation would be appreciated.
 
I don't know about a smoke pot, but one of mine had a live det. See the photo on the second post in this thread.
