Can anyone tell me what this box is, it measures about 6 1/2 x 5 1/2 x 1 1/2 inches.

There are no other marking's on the box.

The Tin would have contained 10 British pressure switches and percussion Caps.

There would have been a label and booklet to describe what type of switch and its uses inside the tin, i would have thought it was written on the lid but both my examples just say pressure or release, i would have thought either of these switches could have gone in the tin....... Dave

Thanks for the info I did not have a clue what a pressure switch was for.

The tin was probably an inner container. Pressure switches such as these would have been used in booby traps.
