I saw a picture on a FB group about the british grenade L90A1, a black rubber body with a red band near the top
Does someone has documentation about it ?
It's marked "ASSLT (SE)". Does it mean "ASSAULT (SHOCK EFFECT)" as someone suggested on the group ?
A copy of the picture would be of benefit. A rubber body suggests a 'Stun' or kindred type of grenade. A red band would indicate irritant filled, additionally one would expect the store to be marked 'IRRT' and the nature of the filling e.g. CS.
