Bulgarian PSM-1 anti-personnel bounding mine

microplastic

Well-Known Member
This is the Bulgarian PSM-1, a cylindrical, steel-bodied, anti-personnel bounding landmine with preformed fragments. The fuze cavity accepts an adapter that takes three different fuzes which can be pull, pressure or electric actuated. With the fuze adapter fitted, all fuzes can be used at once.

Function: the jet of flame that occurs when the fuze is triggered ignites the flame charge. The flame travels through the Flash holes, then simultaneously ignites the delay charge of the detonator cap and the expelling charge in the base. The expelling charge lifts the mine 0,5m to 1,5m up in the air and the delay charge ignites the detonator which will ignite the booster, exploding the main charge of 170 grams Hexogen.

Diameter: 75mm
High: 250mm / 110mm without fuzes
Mass: 2450g
Explosive: 170g Hexogen
Body: steel/Zinc with 1200 steel balls
