Canadian 3,7" HE before and after.

Last month I restored this relic-condition Canadian 3,7" HE to quite a nice cutaway with fake filling.

This is how it started.

The other side after some fun with the milling machine and sandpaper.

For the fake filling I cut some sheet metal to size and welded it in. I glued some matches to the sheet for the putty to hold on to.
After that, I glued the cardboard smoke box holder in place, spaced with some cut up matches to hold it in the right place.

The fake filling painted and the smoke box and CE pellet added.

I puttied the outside as well, sanded it smooth and painted it.
I still need to add some markings.
