Thought it's about time i started a new post in an attempt to out hit US Subs.

This time it's some examples of Air Raid Personnel (ARP) kits.
These were issued to the Home Guard, so that in the event of being attacked with gas or suspected gas they opened the bottles and had a quick sniff of the contents and if it smelt the same as what they were being attacked with then chances are it was the same.
Back then people didn't seem to worried about intentionally sniffing CWA.

They came in many different shapes, sizes and types. Some were for sniffing and contained live CWA and others were for visual identification and contained simulants.

Picture 1 is a sniff set containing - CAP, H, KSK, CG, PS, BBC and L

Picture 2 is a visual set containing simulants

Picture 3 is a tin of DM ampoules

Picture 4 is the DM ampoules themselves

Did you steal this from Alan's book? I'm telling!

I don't know if it's Alan's book?
The electronic copy i have came from you know where.
Do you have it?

I don't have it electronically, I think Alan and I swapped one, I gave him one of the US on the Chemical Agent Identification Sets (CAIS), he gave me one of his.
