Citadelle de Quebec, Ville de Quebec, Quebec, Canada

Again, sorry for reflections from glassed exhibitions. Most of the citadel was built by British. A small building with multiple identical protrusions from the wall is an original gun powder mill built by French. Those protruding supports are in case it explodes, to offer more stability to the wall.

looks a great place to visit ,,thank you for taking all the photos and sharing them with us

Here is an aerial shot of the Citadel from Hotel Concord's rotating restaurant Ciel (not to be missed if you come here). Actually, the best time here is in early February, Carnaval time, you must like drinking A LOT, and I don't mean Pepsi. A lot of British-French history in reverse: not French forcing things on English, but English pushing things onto French speaking New France residents, fascinating. The language dynamics are astounding, during WWI English Crown needed help, so they tried to recruit Canadiens, who spoke French and were Catholic, so could not understand English military commands and had no Catholic chaplains, so they did not volunteer for war until the Crown created a special French speaking 22nd Regiment with a Catholic priest, and during the war no soldiers were available to serve as Palace Guards in London, so they brought Canadiens to serve as Palace Guards, and after the War the Queen gave them a goat. How much more interesting can you make it!!! And beer here is up to 11 percent, like your wine!!! Come join me next February.

Amazing photos, Vlad!

As always, you are the best Museum and Ammo Show documenter. Thanks big time for always posting photos of your travels, they are awesome. I like that gun that needs a 50/50 Glyserin/Water mix as a buffer and the really cool cannon mounts.
