Korean War, 1950. Based on a true story, it tells a tale of a Navy aircraft carrier USS Leyte and Corsair squadron attached to the ship at the beginning of Korean War https://www.imdb.com/title/tt7693316/. One of the planes gets shot down and there is an unsuccessful rescue attempt. The movie shows ground battles too and Marines freezing in a harsh Korean winter. The movie has a bit drawn preamble to the actual war, but, still, it did happen. Plus, there are not too many movies about the Forgotten War.
