Someone told me a while ago that when they were a kid in the 60s they had something called a diesel gun.
From what I remember, they said that it looked a bit like a 1911 Colt. Supposedly you would load it with a 3/8" ball bearing, then put a drop of diesel into it through an opening in the top of the pistol.
This would supposedly embed 3/8" ball bearings into breze blocks.
Eventually they ran out of ball bearings and swapped it with a friend for a Webley air pistol.
I have never heard of one of these anywhere else. Has anyone else here ever seen one?
Google searches turn up nothing even vaguely similar to this.
I know that "dieseling" can happen with air rifles if you use too much oil, but this is about the only references I got.
