Diesel gun?

Falcon

Well-Known Member
Someone told me a while ago that when they were a kid in the 60s they had something called a diesel gun.

From what I remember, they said that it looked a bit like a 1911 Colt. Supposedly you would load it with a 3/8" ball bearing, then put a drop of diesel into it through an opening in the top of the pistol.

This would supposedly embed 3/8" ball bearings into breze blocks.

Eventually they ran out of ball bearings and swapped it with a friend for a Webley air pistol.

I have never heard of one of these anywhere else. Has anyone else here ever seen one?

Google searches turn up nothing even vaguely similar to this.

I know that "dieseling" can happen with air rifles if you use too much oil, but this is about the only references I got.
