Images indicate 1915, but the date must be lightly stamped or polished.
What you see is all I know as the image was sent to me as a matter of
interest some time back. Are there any more of these out there ? I suspect
this is the staring point for these.

That is a very nice item! The earliest date on 2-Pdr cases I have is 1916, although I am sure that others on BOCN will have earlier ones.
The proj is a real beauty; I have never seen a 2-Pdr with the copper centring band before. Interestingly, it appears to be stamped with a "V"; is this a Roman "5" to indicate a Mark No.? And if so, how has it reached Mk.V so early on?

I have a case with this headstamp but it was made in 1916. I found it at a local car boot sale, I think it cost me 2.

This case was made in Canada by The Metal Drawing Co., St. Catherine's Ontario.

The back to back "sold out of service" broad arrow marking on your headstamp is interesting.
