The driving band of the first shell is much closer to the shell base than the other two. The first and second shells are each fitted with a steel adapter for acceptance of the two inch gauge fuze, while the third shell has a one piece body. All three shells have a threaded hole for insertion of a grub screw for retention of the fuze. I cleaned off some of the rust in an attempt to show the stampings on the bodies. With regard to the fuze, the nose fairings have invariably rotted away or broke off on impact of the shell with the ground. Sometimes the upper portion of threaded brass is also missing, broken off.
