FireBombs

Hear is a humble selection of firebombs dropped by the Luftwaffe
On the left is a few 1.3 kilo tile breakers with a partly ignited IB
at the top (now totally inert),and an Exploding tail IB at the bottom.

On the right are all 1.0 Kilo all ally construction IBs with dates ranging
from 1938 to 1940.

In the centre is a B2 2EZ IB which was designed to kill the fire service
workers as was the Exploding tail version.

Centre is an ultra rare B2 2EZ fuze, which i carefully restored from a relic body.

Hi

Concerning the box, what means EL - Z ?

If we can consider that it's for the B2 incendiary bomb .

..

EL = Elektron (compostion of body)
Z = Zeitzunder (time fuze - found on explosive type)

I think??

They are the ones matey! ooooo! Expensive??

waff

It wasnt at the time which was about 1980 ish and i think i gave the guy about 6.00 at a market close to me which is were my ultra cheap IBs came from.

aparently it was found in the bottom of a clothes drawer from a house clearance.

I had about 6 complete wartime newspapers from the same source including the St Pauls Bomb edition:wink:.
