I presume it's the earlier Mark I or Mark II 215 grain (13.9 g) bullet black powder (BP)-based rounds.

These, as far as I can remember, have a single roughly tubular-shaped charge of compressed BP, which weighs around 71.5 grains (4.6 g).

As such, charge- and hence smoke-wise, it's like firing a fully-auto firearm that's firing black powder 45-70-405 rounds!
