Hello,

It's a star shell ("Obus Eclairant") but I don't know the designation (year model). 75mm star shells were usually painted white (head) and blue (body). Different models were made.
Do you have pictures of the base shell ; these details could help to make a good ID.

Regards

Is the red stamp over the driving band Japanese or Chinese symbol?

This is one of those items where we couldn't get the projectile out of the cartridge case. When we could we would remove them for pictures.

As for the symbol ... that was an interesting marking. I don't know what it is, how it got there, or what it means. But it certainly looks Asian in origin.
