French DR Riflegrenade

Does anybody have some dimensions for this grenade, I just want an idea of its size, any comments why this didn't fare better than the cup launcher VB, These look to be a quick and easy manufacture and they could easily
launch heavier bombs for close in work.

I would say that the simplicity of the VB grenade, it had an automatic fuse that required no effort on the part of the rifleman to activate, and the VB was used with the standard live round rather than a blank round. Firing a DR grenade with a live round would not be good, and firing at an approching enemy with a blank round could be just as deadly for the rifleman.
