some years ago I found this french 24-31 model 1914 with a brass adapter ring (left) instead of the normal steel adapter (right) for the 75 mm shell. Gas shell maybe?
interesting.
supose it could have been or was it because they were produced at diffrent times or in diffrent factories ?
Anyone else got any of these to compare?

Hi
A lot of 75 mm shell for example with brass gaine (no adapter) are issue of Navy (anchor of navy stamped on and 24/31 Mle 99/15 modified)
Other brass gaine with no stamped navy monogram used on the 75 mm and other caliber like 120 mm or trench bomb 58T for example, seem to come from civil nanufacturer....but no sure, just my privated obsservation
