Can anyone id this fuze please ,and if possible provide a sectioned drawing of it..I was told its Italian,
Stamped... I 81 ga IP 1 43

Hi spotter,

You have a second war Italian morter fuze. Afraid I don't have a sectioned drawing or the correct designation to hand but here is a picture with the foil cap off.

I found this, it's french, for 81mm mortar (and more later 120mm).

Spotters fuze is not French, although it is (almost) identical to the V18, which has a brass body - I don't believe the French made this model in Aluminium. The markings on the fuze are definitely Italian. the Date is marked 1 over 43 (Jan 1943) and although you cannot see it in the picture I suspect there is a star symbol beside the date.
