The projectile is an 18cm Glatte Wurf Mine, either chemical or HE filled.
Depending on the fill it should be fuzed with one of the following fuzes;

Z.s.u.m.W.M or I.W.M.Zdr 2 - Phosgene, phosgene/chloropicrin or Arsine pellets blended with HE.

Z.gl.WM - HE

As for this fuze, don't know yet............

Cheers

Pete

Hello Pete,

I'm sure Tarbelin51 knows that ! but this fuze is not in our manuals !!

A strange shape, like Erhardt combination fuze.

(Not exactly the same on diagram - same family ?)

Hi Tarbelin
It is a German fuze Ehrhardt, a time and percussion fuze used in 1900. This model was exported to the UK, she took the No58 (for 15 pdr shrapnel shells - 22 seconds) and was manufactured under license in the USA (for 3 inch shrapnel shells with the same time)
Ehrhardt company manufactured trench ammunition in WW1 (Mittlere-brand mine 14 amongst others) and mortars

and this Erhardt (Rheinmetall) fuze is made in Germany, the Rheinmetall factory stamp is visible on Pic #4.

Thank you all for your responses.
Thus, one starts with a Erhardt fuze to a scale of 1 to 17.
Again thank you. :congrats:
