just caught this one on pee-bay :tinysmile_twink_t2:
a nice example for the post-war use of these pots, sold as a flower vase.

I love this. I also collect old household glassware and military glassware, as well as military objects re-used for civilian purposes.

I like the German helmets that have been made into pasta strainers.

I also saw a German gas mask can that was coated nicely in red porcelain, and made into a pitcher with handle to pour water or drinks.

Also M39 egg grenades made into all sorts of household items.

All these great things are already sold by the time I see them though :tinysmile_angry_t:

A local collector once found a mint condition german paratrooper helmet (winter camo.) that an elderly lady had converted into a hanging flower pot. She discarded the useless liner and chin strap, punched some drain holes in the bottom and hung it from the spanner bolt holes with wire. This was done to "save money" because hanging pots were expensive. She would have passed out cold If she had any idea of it's true pre-modification value. Pat

Hi Big Dave:
You need a Chemical fuze for that three steps metal plate. The right fuze for that type of plate is the SF6 or the very scarce Bck fuze. The Hebelzunder or "boarshead" as you call it is for the plain metal plate more common to find than the raised one. Also you would need a Sprengkapsel N8 for complet the set.

Did these SF6 have a glass cover over the top as shown in the manual picture on lexis site. The main photo shows no sign that a glass cover was there, also bearing in mind that some manual drawings are not always true to the original item in hand.

I have 4 or 5 at home and have had in hands a few dozens and never seen that Glass cover. You can find them very easily today in the shows here where Polish sellers come.

Hi Miguel ,thanks for the information about the plates ,strangley enough the Glasmine came with a resin replica Buckfuse and i put the Boarshead in thinking this was the correct fuse ,oh well i will have to have a hunt in the spares box ,regards Dave

Spot on Miguel ,i bought it there in the early 1990s and managed not to damaged it ,having bought it on the first day of a 3 week holiday

right Miguel (btw. your yellow types are very unpractical to answer by quote :tinysmile_twink_t2:).
only the stepped fuze-plate is also suitable to fit the mine with a Sprengkrper 28 B (bakelite).

Right again i take it you have been a few times ,the shop used to have a few nice bits in but havnt been in for a few years
